In all three contract awards, Fairchild Controls has stepped up to provide highly reactive repair and overhaul support for aircraft that are key to USAF's worldwide mobility, said Fairchild Controls President Scott Selle. Our goal is to continue meeting and exceeding the customer's expectations for this important aftermarket maintenance work.
As the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Fairchild Controls has been supplying TP 25 air turbine drives for C-130s throughout the aircraft's more than 50 years of operational service. Each TP-25 air turbine motor works with an integrated gas turbine compressor and 20 kVA generator to supply electrical power on C-130 models A through early H.
Expanding our aftermarket services is one of Fairchild Controls key areas for growth, and the TP 25 maintenance work for U.S. Air Force C-130s demonstrates how we can win strategic business, Selle added.
The TP 25 repair and overhaul is performed at Fairchild Controls' Frederick, Maryland facility.
