Fairchild Controls Supports United Way’s “Days of Caring” Activities with Volunteer Work at Frederick, Maryland’s Heartly House

Fairchild Controls employees have given a helping hand to the community, carrying out volunteer work at a local shelter and counseling center as part of United Way of Frederick County's Days of Caring outreach.

Forty employees from Fairchild Controls participated in the recent event by performing carpentry, clean-up, landscaping and revitalization at Heartly House in Frederick, Maryland. Each employee volunteered two hours of their personal time, which was matched by two hours of company time. Heartly House is a non-profit agency with services that include a 24-hour hotline, an emergency shelter, crisis counseling, legal and medical services, and transitional housing to victims of child abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence. “Our employees work at Fairchild Controls but we also live in the community and welcomed the opportunity to provide hands-on assistance to Heartly House – which offers a valuable service for our region,” said Fairchild Controls President Scott Selle. “I wish to thank all of our employees for their enthusiastic support of this initiative and also to recognize United Way of Frederick County for its leadership.”
