Fairchild Controls Statement on Bankruptcy Filing of The Fairchild Corporation

Fairchild Controls, a business unit of EADS North America, is not affiliated with The Fairchild Corporation – which recently announced filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Therefore, Fairchild Controls’ current and future activities are not affected by the unrelated action at The Fairchild Corporation.

Fairchild Controls designs and manufactures vapor cycle systems, air management systems, control electronics and air turbine drives for military and commercial aerospace and defense applications.

Its vapor cycle systems and air management systems provide cooling for externally mounted aircraft pods that carry targeting, navigation, reconnaissance, and electronic countermeasure systems for U.S. and foreign military services. The company’s air turbine drives supply supplemental hydraulic and electrical power for a variety of aircraft.

Fairchild Controls is headquartered in Frederick, Maryland, and is part of EADS North America’s U.S. operations – which span 17 states and provide a broad array of advanced solutions to customers in the commercial, homeland security, aerospace and defense markets.
