Fairchild Controls, an EADS North America Company, received a Maryland International Leadership Award from the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) in recognition of the company’s accomplishments in providing advanced technological solutions on an international level for the aerospace and defense industry.
Each year the WTCI Awards Review Committee evaluates firms throughout Maryland and selects those firms that are strategically growing their business in the region, expanding to international markets and positively contributing to the local community. Based on domestic and international growth, technical innovation, corporate citizenship and leadership style Fairchild Controls was selected by the committee members to receive this recognition.
The award was presented to Scott Selle, President of Fairchild Controls, at the 14th Annual International Leadership Awards ceremony in Baltimore, Maryland earlier this month. "We are honored to be recognized alongside these impressive Maryland international business leaders," said Selle. "I think each company demonstrates that a tough economic environment creates opportunities as well as challenges, and we’ve certainly used the recent period to strengthen our emphasis on international markets."
