
Scott Selle is the President of Fairchild Controls Corporation of Frederick, Maryland. Fairchild Controls is a subsidiary of EADS North America, the Virginia-based operation of EADS, a global leader in aerospace, defense and security systems. Within EADS, Fairchild Controls develops, produces and supports vapor cycle environmental control systems, power conversion and control electronics, and turbo-machinery for military and commercial customers worldwide.
Scott’s responsibilities include general strategic, financial and operational management for the business. He is primarily focused on creating value and improving performance through four key initiatives: supporting customers with innovative technology; creating profitable growth; accelerating continuous improvement of company processes; and providing a respectful, professional and developmental work environment for employees.
Before joining Fairchild Controls in 2006, Scott held several positions with Honeywell Aerospace (formerly AlliedSignal). Most recently he was Director of Component Aftermarket Services for Honeywell Aerospace, with operational leadership responsibility for seven facilities located in the US and Canada. Before that he was the General Manager of Honeywell’s heat transfer and electric power aftermarket business in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Additionally, Scott held leadership positions in the Honeywell Aerospace Operations, Global Sourcing and Quality Assurance organizations.
Prior to joining Honeywell, Scott served in the US Navy as an officer on nuclear submarines, shipyard overhaul manager, and director of undersea warfare training.
Scott holds a BS in Materials Engineering from the University of Florida, and an MBA (with concentration in operations management) from Arizona State University. He is a certified Six Sigma continuous improvement Black Belt, and holds professional certificates in quality engineering and lean manufacturing. When not working, Scott and his wife Stephanie enjoy outdoor recreation and their four dogs.
