The Fairchild Controls’ supplemental cooling system (SCS) onboard the A380 commercial airliner includes a 30kW motor controller, DCU and I/O board that are all integrated into one package. The Fairchild Controls’ galley cooling system controller, incorporates numerous safety provisions required to meet all of the customers’ specifications; including operation within a fuel vapor zone.
The controller includes a safe board for hardware, detection and isolation of overheat, over-voltage and excessive current. An EMC board is also included for detection of unbalanced phase and input power bus distortion. Temperature sensors are installed on the walls on the controller as well as the cold plate and high power devises.
